Calling it Back

Cale Bain (Aus)

This workshop works on the callback - the return to any previous idea from your show. It starts with establishing with a clear premise and solid game, with clearcut characters and then figuring out what’s the thing to call back and how to do it clearly. We’ll work on some tips to recall, some skills to cue what’s being called back and some opportunities in making it all seem seamless. It’s a skill that plays with comedy and dramatic playing alike, and can turn the dumbest, most disposable choices into the icing on the cake.
