Characters are great, characters are fun. But sometimes our characters are really just caricatures; other times we get stuck in our character and it holds back our scenework. In this workshop we will explore techniques and strategies for creating more lifelike, sustainable characters: characters we can play throughout long scenes and over multiple scenes, characters who can undergo changes and get what they want. We will work to inspire characters from which we can in turn draw inspiration for the continuation of our scenes and narratives.
